SKILLS/ TECHNICAL ABILITIES
- Carpentry/Wood working- I have extensive operational and safety knowledge of a variety of wood working power tools such as: table, miter, radial, scroll, band, panel, jig, circular, and chain saws, planer, joiner, drill press, lathe, routers, sanders. I am also very efficient with a variety of hand tools, and I have a wide range of expertise in wood fabrication and finishing processes.
- Ceramics- I have a lot of experience with different types of mold making applications as well as ceramic construction techniques, tools, wheel throwing, glazing, and surface applications. I also have an in depth knowledge of the commercial products as well as the raw materials that are available to the ceramic artist.
- Metal Fabrication- I have extensive operational and safety knowledge of a variety of metal working power tools such as: Oxygen acetylene torch, MIG, and TIG welding, drill press, bench shear press brake, slip roll, bench and angle grinders.
- Other Fabrication Techniques- I am also very experienced in ceramic sculpture, pottery, screen printing, foam fabrication, plaster and silicone mold making, painting, stone carving, blacksmithing, metal casting, and stop motion animation.
- Art Installation- I have extensive knowledge of mounting techniques and hardware. I understand the care that goes into handling artwork and I am very experienced at installing two and three dimensional works of all shapes and sizes.
